Getting started
Who we support, how to reach us, and what happens next.
What does Future Trans Services do?
We’re a truck dispatch service for owner-operators and small fleets. We find loads that fit your lanes and equipment, negotiate the rate, handle broker setup and paperwork, and stay in touch with you through delivery.
You stay in control: nothing is booked until you approve it. Brokers can also send us loads for the carriers we dispatch for.
Who can work with your dispatch team?
Owner-operators and small fleets with active authority, running dry van, reefer, flatbed, step deck, power only, box truck, or hotshot equipment. Brokers with loads for those carriers are welcome to reach out too.
Still setting up your authority or truck? Tell us where you are, and we’ll tell you what to have ready.
How do I get started?
Fill in the carrier form (about two minutes), call (510) 220-8034, or email info@futuretransservices.com. A dispatcher will get back to you to talk through your truck, lanes, and rate goals.
Next, we send the dispatch agreement, collect your documents, and start searching. Sending the form doesn’t commit you to anything.
What are your service hours?
Monday–Friday, 9 AM–8 PM Pacific. Send the form or an email anytime, and we’ll reply during those hours.
Already on a load with us? Use the direct contact your dispatcher gave you.
Carrier dispatch
Your lanes, your operating priorities, and your final decision.
Do I have to accept every load you offer?
No. There’s no forced dispatch. We send you the rate, lane, appointments, and requirements for each load, and you say yes or no.
Tell us your preferred lanes, rate floor, and home time up front, and we’ll focus on loads that fit.
Do I need my own authority and insurance?
Yes. We dispatch for carriers with active operating authority and current insurance, and we use your documents to get you set up with brokers quickly.
Each broker has its own approval rules, so we’ll tell you early if a load needs something extra.
Can I inquire if my carrier authority is new?
Yes, new authorities are welcome. Send your MC or DOT number and let us know you’re new.
Some brokers want a few months of history, so early options can be more limited. We’ll look for brokers that accept new authorities and build from there.
Can you work around my preferred lanes and home time?
Yes, that’s where we start. Tell us your home base, preferred regions, maximum deadhead, and home-time days, and we plan loads around them, including the next load before you deliver.
Freight changes week to week, so we’ll be upfront when a lane is slow and show you the options.
How do rate discussions and load approval work?
We find the load, negotiate the rate with the broker, and send you the full details: rate, loaded and empty miles, appointments, commodity, and requirements.
You approve it, the broker sends the rate confirmation, and you check it before pickup. If anything changes, we go back to the broker for you.
Fees & onboarding
A clear scope of work before the first move.
How much does dispatch service cost?
Our fee is a percentage of each load you haul, so we only earn when your truck is earning. We’ll give you your exact rate on the first call and put it in writing before we book anything.
Want to see how a fee affects a load? Try the trip calculator.
What information should a carrier have ready?
Your MC or DOT number, equipment type, current location, availability, and preferred lanes. For broker setup we’ll also need your authority letter, W-9, and certificate of insurance.
Please don’t attach documents to the website form. We’ll tell you how to send them after the first call.
Is there a long-term commitment?
No. There’s no long-term contract. Our written agreement explains the fee, what we handle, and how to stop.
Loads you’ve already accepted still need to be delivered as agreed.
Do you help with paperwork and payment follow-up?
Yes. We handle broker setup packets, rate confirmations, BOLs, and PODs, and get your paperwork in so invoices don’t stall.
Payment terms are set by each broker or your factoring company, and we can help you follow up on a late payment.
Equipment & coverage
The details that make a load suitable for your truck.
Which equipment types do you support?
Dry van, reefer, flatbed, step deck, power only, box truck, and hotshot.
Tell us your exact setup, such as trailer length, weight capacity, straps or tarps, and liftgate, so we only book loads your truck can haul. The equipment guide lists what to include.
Do you serve all 50 states?
Yes, all 50 states. Alaska and Hawaii need special routing, so we plan those case by case. See the coverage map.
Freight is busier in some regions than others, and we’ll tell you honestly what your lanes look like.
What should I share about refrigerated or specialized freight?
Give us the commodity, weight, dimensions, loading method, and appointment times.
For reefer, add the temperature range. For flatbed and step deck, add securement, tarping, and any permits. The more we know up front, the fewer surprises at pickup.
Are the trucks pictured on the website owned by Future Trans?
No. The truck images are illustrations of the equipment types we dispatch. We don’t own a fleet; we dispatch for independent carriers who own and run their own trucks.
For brokers
Have a load? Here’s how it works with the carriers we dispatch for.
How does a broker send us a load?
Send the load details: origin, destination, pickup date, delivery window, equipment, commodity, and weight, plus any special requirements.
We dispatch on behalf of our carriers. If the load fits a carrier’s lanes and equipment, that carrier’s dispatcher will contact you, and the carrier decides whether to book it under its own authority.
How are carrier qualifications handled?
The carriers we dispatch for provide their authority, insurance certificate, and W-9 for your normal setup process.
Your own carrier approval rules always apply.
What communication can brokers expect during a move?
One dispatcher is your contact for the load, with check calls, appointment updates, and paperwork Monday–Friday, 9 AM–8 PM Pacific.
Agree on the update schedule and an after-hours contact before pickup.
Can you guarantee a truck for every load?
No. We work for our carriers, and a load is only booked if one of them accepts it. Complete load details get you the fastest answer.
On the road & support
Keep changes, documents, and decisions clearly communicated.
What if an appointment or load detail changes?
Call or message your dispatcher as soon as you know. We’ll update the broker, adjust the plan, and get any rate change confirmed in writing.
How are detention, layover, or other additional charges handled?
We request detention, layover, and other extra charges from the broker for you. Keep your arrival and departure times, plus photos or signed documents if you have them.
Whether a charge is paid depends on the load’s rate confirmation.
Do you guarantee weekly revenue or a certain number of loads?
No one honest can promise that. Rates and freight change with the market. What we do promise is effort: we push for the best rate on every load and plan the next one before you deliver.
Use the trip calculator to see what a load would leave you after fuel and dispatch.
What if my question is specific to my business or shipment?
